The Broker — The Short Version
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
His background is relevant. It means the leadership has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker this new, that range is solid.
The Software
You get: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Many people find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is available for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That will round things out when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not for typical accounts. Skip it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is the area where this broker stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That says something about priorities.
Combine those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
The FSRA Question
This is the thing that matters. The broker is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. This does not guarantee anything. It should inform your assessment.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it is your call.
