TabTrade Overview - The Good and the Catch

TabTrade - The Short Version

Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

That last detail tells you something. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. It is better than someone with no brokerage experience.

The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that coverage is solid.

What You Trade On

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. Many pick one platform. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.

FIX API is there for bots but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly coming. That will be a good addition once it is live.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you move real size.

Infrastructure

This is where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That says what kind of broker this is.

Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not guarantee anything. It does inform how you think about it.

What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.

TabTrade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard deposit match. You deposit, TabTrade top up your balance. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you commit.
